Charles Jeffries (140) was born in 187 in Peckham Rye, Camberwell.



At age 9 he was a schoolboy living at 5 Peckham Rye, Camberwell but by the age of 19 he had left home, was living at 1 Lawson Crescent, Holdenhurst, Hampshire and was working as a ChemistŐs Assistant.


He married Maud Baker (267) in 1899 in Towcester, Northamptonshire.

She was the daughter of James Baker born 1842 in Towcester, a fishmonger and game dealer and she had four siblings.



She died in Wandsworth, London on 29th July, 1958.



Charles completed his training and in 1901 they were living at 126 Upper Richmond Road, Putney, London where he was a retail chemist and druggist.


Ten years later and the family had moved to 194 Upper Richmond Road, Putney and Charles had qualified as a Pharmaceutical Chemist.

He died on 23rd September 1929 when living at 9 Upper Park Fields, Putney.
