Kate Smith (165) was born in 1875 in High Roothing.
In 1881 she was a schoolgirl living at home in Margaret Roothing.
Ten years later and she is living at 20 Peak Hill Gardens, Lewisham, Sydenham, South London and she is working as a stationery apprentice.
In 1901 she has new employment at New House, High Easter, Essex where she is caring for John Millbank, an 82 years old cousin. He was born in Berners Roothing.

I lose track of Kate after 1911. She is then 35, apparently unmarried and working as a Maternity Nurse from Hobbs Farm at Great Canfield, which is where her sister, Laura Annie, is living.
Kate is referred to as a spinster when she obtains probate after sister Florence’s death.
I believe that Kate died in 1934
